This site is all about my experiences from June 2006 until present, with my 1955 Citroën Traction Avant 11 BN.

Saved  from the scrapyard, getting the car in a state to be driven, maintaining the car and later on, upgrading the car’s performance to being able to use the car in normal Dutch traffic.

Since all of my photo material is  available but all text needs to be translated from Dutch to English, it may take a little while for the English part of this Site is complete. The Dutch version on this site is always first updated, English follows later.

At present, mid 2019, the car is ready to be driven. However, due to my work I don’t use the car much.

Cheers, Jan // Amsterdam, the Netherlands, August 2019

About the car

My TA was imported from France somewhere in the early 70’s.

The B/W photo was copied from an old newspaper and sent to my by an unknown fan, and shows my car in a ’70’s surrounding, probably in Leiden (NL).
